FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know to be Entirely Ready

These residences serve as a transitional space between an inpatient treatment center and returning to everyday life, offering a community setting that supports ongoing recovery efforts with rules, regular meetings, and peer support.

  • Sober living facilities are open to individuals who are committed to maintaining sobriety and have typically completed a detox or rehabilitation program. Residents must be 18 years or older and should be stable enough to participate in daily activities and responsibilities. Each resident must also agree to adhere to the house rules, including abstinence from all mood-altering substances.

  • The length of stay in sober living varies depending on individual needs, progress, and the specific policies of the facility. Generally, residents can stay for as long as they need, provided they adhere to the house rules and continue to benefit from the structured environment. Many stay anywhere from a few months to over a year.

  • Daily life in a sober living home involves a balance of personal responsibilities, work, or education, and recovery-related activities. Residents are expected to participate in chores, maintain the cleanliness of their living space, attend group meetings, and may also be required to engage in work or educational activities. The routine is designed to build healthy habits and foster independence.

  • Yes, sober living homes have rules that are essential for maintaining the safety and sobriety of all residents. These typically include abstaining from alcohol and drugs, adhering to curfews, attending scheduled meetings, participating in household chores, and respecting other residents and staff. Failure to comply with these rules can result in consequences, including possible dismissal from the facility to protect the community.
